Smart Cities are using emerging technologies to improve the quality of living standards for its citizens. Smart City initiatives are revving up globally, and libraries have an opportunity to be part of the evolution of their cities where astronomical amounts of data are being detected by a myriad of Internet of Things applications.

The data is processed in real-time by artificial intelligence and other technologies over high-speed 5G networks helping make Smart Cities truly “smart” so that they can adapt to our needs. Ultimately, in this webinar,

  • Learn what a Smart City is and what they are capable of doing,
  • Recognize what technologies are powering Smart Cities,
  • Understand ethical and regulatory issues impacting these initiatives, and
  • Explore ways to get your library at the table to help bring equitable access to all.
