Artificial Intelligence in Cybersecurity

Cybersecurity is the “state of being protected against the criminal or unauthorized use of electronic data, or the measures taken to achieve this.” It includes processes to defend computer systems and data from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, disruption, modification, and/or destruction.

Cybersecurity is important because it protects the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information and systems, which is important in every industry, including libraries.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is rapidly changing the landscape of cybersecurity and can help people identify and respond to threats more quickly and efficiently.

In this webinar, we will:

  • Understand the basics of AI and its role in cybersecurity;
  • Identify the latest AI technologies that are being used to protect against cyberattacks;
  • Learn how to implement AI-based security solutions in public and academic libraries;
  • Provide tips for librarians to implement AI-based security solutions; and
  • Develop a plan for keeping your library’s data safe from cyberattacks.
